Sarah Turner is already a seasoned driver, she has crossed harsh terrain in all types of vehicle. Her antics training Government staff in off-road driving skills have earnt her the nickname Lara Croft, one which she dislikes almost as much as being referred to as 'the Ellen McArthur of the land'. But if either nickname bear even a degree of truth then she must be the ideal choice to make such a trip and put her name in front of the world.

In 1994 she was part of the team that broke the World Record for crossing Europe. In 1998 she crossed Canada on trails and back roads and in the winter of 2004 she drove across North America, again on back roads and trails and Canadian Ice Roads . On the Arctic Ocean she endured temperatures of -50C and drove thousands of miles on ice to the deserts of Utah and Arizona covering 10,000 miles in four weeks. She has driven in competitions, Randonnees and charity events across the UK and Europe.

Now her appetite is whetted for more of a challenge and she is confident that she can meet the many difficulties encountered along the way head on. Whilst Sarah admits that the wheels of her 'Cruiser weigh as much as she does she can manage to sort out most problems whether they be mechanical or survival; her quick thinking and common sense come up with a solution and a way around hurdles such as physical strength.

Sarah has always delivered value for money in terms of publicity and PR to her sponsors. This is reflected in the level of sponsorship obtained on previous drives which include companies such as Volkswagen, Toshiba, GKN and P&O Nedlloyd.
