Whilst the ambition is still alive progress to achievement is slow. World events, soaring costs and changes in circumstances see the dream remaining just that for now. A trip to Northern Norway in a Subaru Forester offers a refresher in winter driving and a chance for some charity PR but the world as a whole remains out of reach.

Update:
Changes to jobs and circumstances over the last year has meant the trip has taken a back burner. Now I'm back on track looking for both financial and support backing. The decision has pretty much been made to take my Land Cruiser, running on biofuel as available. I am also going to take an expedition trailer that will include all mod. cons. the main reason is to give me additional fuel capacity but the addition of a kitchen and roof tent will make it feel five star accommodation.
